About me

I’m a photographer based on Victoria’s coast and in the rolling countryside beyond. The rhythm of tides, changing light, and wide southern skies first drew me to photography—and they still keep me chasing that perfect moment of stillness and connection.

My work moves between landscape, wildlife, and astrophotography, but at its heart it’s about curiosity and care for the natural world. I’m fascinated by the small details that reveal the character of a place: the texture of rock shaped by waves, the movement of clouds over farmland, or the fleeting glance of a whale at the surface.

Before photography became my main focus, I spent years exploring regional Victoria and travelling abroad, learning how communities interact with their environments. Those experiences taught me that every image carries a story—of people, of place, and of responsibility.

Today, I share that perspective through my workshops, exhibitions, and fine-art prints. Whether I’m guiding a group beneath the aurora, photographing an intimate wedding, or contributing to conservation projects, I aim to create images that encourage awareness and appreciation for the landscapes that inspire us all.

Event Photography

My approach to event photography is simple — I capture genuine moments as they unfold. Whether it’s a wedding, elopement, or corporate gathering, I work quietly and attentively to tell each story with warmth and honesty.

I favour natural light, candid emotion, and a relaxed style that allows people to be themselves. From the smallest gestures to the grandest celebrations, my goal is to create images that feel timeless and true — photographs that remind you exactly how the day felt.

If you’re planning an event and want authentic, heartfelt imagery, I’d love to help you capture it beautifully.

Workshops & Photography Tuition

Teaching is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Through my workshops and photography adventures, I help people connect more deeply with nature and their own creativity — whether we’re chasing the aurora, photographing whales, or capturing the quiet beauty of the coast.

Each session is hands-on and personal, focusing on composition, light, and storytelling rather than technical jargon. My aim is to make photography simple, accessible, and inspiring for everyone.

If you’d like to join an upcoming workshop or arrange one-on-one tuition, I’d love to hear from you.

Eco Photography & Citizen Science

My photography is guided by a simple idea — that creativity and environmental responsibility should work hand in hand. I strive to capture the beauty of natural places while leaving the lightest possible footprint. Whether I’m photographing marine life, coastal habitats, or night skies, I follow ethical practices that respect wildlife and preserve the integrity of each environment.

I’m also involved in citizen-science projects that use photography for real-world conservation. My whale and marine-mammal images, for example, contribute to research databases that help track migration and behaviour along Victoria’s coastline. I believe images can do more than inspire — they can inform, educate, and support the people protecting our planet.

What Sets My Work Apart

Every photograph I take is shaped by a mix of curiosity, respect, and technical care. I try to balance creative vision with environmental awareness — aiming for images that feel both expressive and truthful. My goal is to help people see familiar landscapes in a new way and recognise how connected we are to the places around us.

What makes my work unique is that it’s grounded in purpose. Whether I’m running a workshop, shooting a wedding, or creating a print, I approach each project with the same intention: to make images that matter — to the viewer, to the subject, and to the environment we share.

Community Engagement

Photography has opened the door to some wonderful community connections. I regularly present talks and workshops that combine technical learning with the stories behind the images — from photographing whales and auroras to exploring local conservation efforts. Sharing these experiences helps others see that photography isn’t only about pictures; it’s about observation, patience, and understanding our place within nature.

I’ve been fortunate to work with community groups, festivals, and learning centres around Victoria, including the Island Whale Festival in Phillip Island, where I presented “Photographing Whales is No Fluke.” Events like these remind me how powerful photography can be in sparking conversations about science, ethics, and the natural world.

Let's Work Together

If my approach to photography resonates with you, I’d love to share more. Whether you’re interested in joining a workshop, commissioning a project, or simply starting a conversation, you can reach out any time — I’m always keen to connect with people who care about the stories our landscapes have to tell.
